London, England. -17th November 2000- An all new version of Imposition Publisher is now available from Farrukh Systems.. Imposition Publisher PDF combines Farrukh System's proven Imposition Publisher processing technology with a new PDF Interrogation engine that allows PDF files to be imposed directly without any intermediate processing.

This is a huge leap forward in Pre-Press Imposition software technology as it marks the first stand-alone Imposition application designed specifically for PDF workflows. Currently, most imposition software that supports PDF does so by converting the PDF files back to PostScript format in order to be able to process the files within a native PostScript workflow. By eliminating this step and interrogating the PDF files in their native format huge increases in performance and reliability can be achieved.

With a suggested list price of £1,995.00 Imposition Publisher PDF offers all the features of higher end Imposition Publisher Studio and Client Server versions but limited to PDF file formats. The product is ideally suited for more progressive Print shops that have already made the move to a PDF based workflow.

Imposition Publisher PDF showcases features that will soon find their way into the mainstream Imposition Publisher product range. The Native PDF Interrogation technology will be integrated into the existing Imposition Publisher Stand-alone and Client Server versions at the end of the year, as Version 5.0. This version will also incorporate new Imposition Automation features via a unique 'Job Setup' menu. Farrukh Systems have also recently released Page Pairer Version 3. Page Pairer is the specialist version of Imposition Publisher optimised for Newspaper publishing. Version 3 adds a number of improvements including PDF processing, so that pages can be sent in PDF format as well as PostScript, and also allows a range of pages to be sent for imposition rather than pages having to be sent individually.
