Farrukh Systems’ Page Pairer Imposition software benefits from a major update this month with the release of Page Pairer Version 3. Page Pairer is the specialised version of Imposition Publisher optimised for Newspaper publishing. Version 3 adds a number of improvements including PDF processing, so that pages can be sent in PDF format as well as PostScript. This means that PostScript and PDF pages can be mixed and matched in a single Imposition workflow.

Other significant improvements are the ability to allow a range of pages to be sent for imposition rather than pages having to be sent individually and the addition of Custom Print Marks, whereby EPS files can be defined, scaled and positioned within the Print Marks interface.

The release of Page Pairer Version 3 coincides with two new Page Pairer installations this month at El Nuevo Diao, the national daily newspaper of Puerto Rico and at Virgin Islands Daily News in St Thomas. These tabloid publications are using Page Pairer for simultaneous daily and weekly publications as well as for specialist sections and inserts. These installations follow earlier Page Pairer successes in North America at the Buffalo News, the Portland Press Herald and the Boston Herald.
