London, England. -1st March 2000- Imposition Publisher QP (Quick Print) is a new version of the Imposition Publisher electronic imposition software program aimed at the ‘Quick Print’ and ‘On Demand’ Digital Printing marketplace. Until now there have been no imposition software packages specifically for this sector of the printing industry. Now, with Imposition Publisher QP, there is a stand-alone Mac OS application that accepts virtually any type of PostScript or PDF file and supports any type of imposition signature including Saddle Stitched, Perfect Bound and Step and Repeat layouts. The product has pre-defined setups for all the commonly used paper sizes and also ships with an extensive library of frequently used Imposition signatures.

Imposition Publisher QP uses the same intuitive user interface as the Imposition Publisher Studio Professional and Client Server versions which have long been a standard for larger format Commercial Printers. It has been designed to work with all the major black and white and color Digital Printer manufacturers including Xerox DocuTech, DocuPrint and DocuColor systems, Canon CLC’s, and Oce, Ricoh and Minolta products as well. Fully imposed output supports any PostScript RIP including those from the leading print server suppliers such as Splash Technology and EFI. If necessary imposed output can even be saved in PDF format.

Until now, professional level imposition software has been out of reach of the average Quick Printer’s budget. With Imposition Publisher QP there is a powerful and cost-effective imposition solution for ‘On Demand’ digital printing.

Imposition Publisher QP was launched in the USA at last months ON DEMAND exhibition. It will be shown for the first time in Europe at Drupa (May 18th-31st) on Farrukh Systems stand no. 9B26-07b. The product is due to start shipping in March 2000 with a suggested list price of £ 1,495.00
