| Page Pairer has been designed to impose newspaper pages automatically. It is built around the core Imposition Publisher technology. |
Step 1. Set Up a Queue
First set up a queue for each publication and choose the required print marks.
In this example we have created a 16 page edition where broadsheet pages are imposed 2-up, rather than tabloid pages imposed 4-up. |
Step 2. Drop Pages into the Queue
When pages are ready for press, copy them to the appropriate queue folder.
We have completed and copied pages 3, 5, 6 and 10. They are highlighted in the Progress window to show that they have arrived OK and are waiting for a matching page to complete the pair. |
Page 12 is also ready for press and is copied to the queue to join page 5. These two pages are processed by Page Pairer.
|
Step 3. Let the Page Pairer Server do the Work
Page Pairer gives you a quick and accurate visual indication of the status of the current edition.
From the Progress window you can easily hold and reset a single page or selected pairs of pages. Pairs of pages currently being processed display in green and completed pairs display in blue. This continues until all the pairs are processed. |
