Installation Guide for the iMate USB to ADB adapter.
The purpose of this guide is to describe the use of the iMate adapter with the ADB Sentinel Eve3 key.

General Information:

This is an adapter to be used with Rainbow's ADB Sentinel Eve3 key which provides a connection of this ADB device to a USB port.

Requirements:
iMate:
Any G3 or G4 system, preferably 233Mhz and above. If you are using an earlier version of the iMAC 233 Mhz system (Rev A or Rev B; Bondi blue colour) you must have the latest version of the iMAC ROM installed in order to use the iMate software. This is available for download at http://www.griffintechnology.com/imac/imac_update.html

The iMate adapter requires a driver to be installed on the MAC PC. This is again available for download at www.griffintechnology.com, and may also be included on a floppy disk as part of this kit.
The latest version available at the time of  producing this document is version 2.4.
Once double-clicking on the downloaded driver, just follow the installation instructions on the screen and finally reboot the system. You will then be set up to use the Sentinel Eve3 key together with the iMate adapter, connected to the USB port of your MAC PC.
When the system restarts, make sure that the iMate adapter is attached to the USB port. If you remove the iMate adapter after a reboot, the system may no longer recognize it and you may need to restart the system again.

Testing the installation:
You can test a successful installation by running the Eve3-68K or Eve3-PPC demo program which came as part of the Rainbow Technologies Eve3 software installation.
Once the program has launched, use the 'New (H)andle' and '(F)indFirst' functions to test if the Eve3 ADB device can be found.
