Three Steps to Using Imposition Publisher Do you just want to dive in and use the program? You don't want to waste your time reading manuals - you are probably not reading this either. But, if you are still with us: To quickly impose your work, you need 3 things: 1. A File List document (File|New File List). Then add the PDF files (Add Files...) to the File List. 2a. An Imposition (or template) specifying the page order and positioning. You can create your own imposition (File | New Imposition) or use one of the standard BPIF or Stahl impositions supplied in the Impositions folder (File | Open). or 2b. A Flatwork (or template) specifying the pages positioning. You can create your own Flatworks (File | New Flatwork). See the Manual for more information. 3. An Output Device selected in Chooser to print your imposed job (File | Print). This can be a laser printer, image-setter, plate-setter or any PostScript device. If you are printing to a device larger than A4 (Letter size for US versions), you need to specify the device size in the Device Setup dialog and save your changes (Choose Device Setup in the Print Dialog). This is the minimum you need to get going. There are many other powerful features in Imposition Publisher, such as the Print Marks Sets and many options in Printer Setup to precisely position your output. You may discover things as you go or you may need to check in the Help or the User Guide. About Processing PostScript Files in Imposition Publisher PDF This release of Imposition Publisher only handles PDF files.
